# WPLoyalty – Opt-in

Let’s explore what the Opt-in Add-on is and how you can enable and configure it in your WPLoyalty-powered store.

### What is the Opt-in Add-on?

The WPLoyalty Opt-in Add-on allows you to let customers choose whether they want to join your loyalty program through a simple checkbox. This gives customers more control and ensures they are aware of their participation.

**Key Highlights:**

* By default, the Opt-in checkbox appears on the Checkout and Registration pages.
* Store owners can use a shortcode to display the opt-in checkbox on any page where they’d like customers to update their participation preference.
* Existing loyalty customers will be automatically added to the opt-in list the next time they log in. The checkbox will be enabled by default for these existing customers.

This add-on helps maintain compliance and transparency by offering an explicit opt-in experience.

### Requirements:

If you’re using the Opt-in Add-on, ensure that your WPLoyalty plugin version is 1.3.4 or higher.

### How to Enable the Opt-in Add-on

#### Step 1: Enable the Add-on

1. Navigate to WPLoyalty → Add-ons tab 
2. Locate WPLoyalty – Opt-in Add-on and click to open it.

### How to Configure Settings:

#### Default Display Locations

Once enabled, the opt-in checkbox will automatically appear in the following locations:

* Registration Page
* Checkout Page

No additional setup is needed for this default behavior.
